Canadian composer Howard Shore may write the soundtrack for a new series based on Amazon’s “Lord of the Rings” universe.

Shore wrote the music for the original trilogy. He has been awarded several prestigious awards for his iconic soundtrack. These include three Golden Globes, three Oscars and a Grammy. The composer and Amazon are currently in negotiations before signing a deal, according to the foreign portal Deadline.

The anticipated series will be the most expensive television project ever. The show will have a budget of about $465 million. The premiere is scheduled for September 2 next year. All episodes will be released on the streaming platform Amazon. The plot will affect the events that occurred thousands of years before the original story described in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
